Most of Exmoor national park is found in Somerset with the final third in north Devon and is renowned for the amazing unique landscape known for the moorlands filled with heather, secluded valley's and rock strewn Sea fronts. There are many attractive villages with several being particularly charming such as Allerford, Bossington and Selworthy. The seaside villages are similarly stunning such as Porlock a renowned picturesque fishing village that has inspired many painters and Lynton and Lynmouth famous for the Victorian railway. There are several very beautiful areas to gaze over Exmoor's rough scenary, from Dunster Castle with its surrounding subtropical gardens, from the lofty hill top position the views there are breath taking. Dunkery Beacon is the highest point in Exmoor and also boasts extremely beautiful scenery with a toposcope and trig point on the summit. Northerly aspects include the Mendips and the Brecon Beacons and to the south Bodmin and Dartmoor although all of these views are weather dependant.
Withypool is another small village to visit as there is a stone circle nearby. There is also a stone bridge to visit called the Tarr step which crosses the river Barle. Wimbleball Lake is Exmoor's largest lake and does a variety of water based activities.
